Christmas Dish Towels on a Cricket Loom

Do you want something special to dress up your kitchen for the holidays?  Or perhaps a gift (or four) for someone special?  Join us for weaving four Christmas dish towels on a Cricket Loom.  In this class you will learn to direct warp a 15” Rigid Heddle Loom and weave four different towels on one warp. This is a wonderful opportunity to try out the fascinating art of weaving.  We hope that you will be excited enough about this ancient art to continue learning with us at the Brown Sheep Fiber Arts Schoolhouse.

There are four sessions in this class.  Session one (2 hours) will show you how to direct warp a Rigid Heddle loom and plain weave your first towel. In session two, three and four (1 hour each) you will learn a pick-up technique and a color technique to make three additional towels.  The schoolhouse will provide Cricket Looms or you may bring your own, if you have one.  Studio time will be available between classes so you can work on your towels; studio times will be announced.
